The 24-Passenger Trolley — Built for the Inner Circle

A small vintage trolley in the 22–26 seat range. The right size when the trolley is for the bridal party or a single tight group — not the whole guest list. One vehicle, everyone who matters most riding together.

What Our Clients Say

Thousands of happy customers trust us with their transportation needs

What is a 24 passenger trolley?

A small charter trolley seats roughly 22 to 26 passengers — the bottom of the trolley size band and a deliberately different vehicle in purpose, not just headcount. At this size the trolley is rarely a guest shuttle. It is the bridal-party trolley, the close-family trolley, the small-celebration trolley: the people the day is actually about, riding together in one vintage unit while the trolley itself becomes part of the event. The point of choosing this size is intimacy. A 26-seat trolley carrying 16 people feels full of your people; a 40-foot guest shuttle carrying the same 16 feels half-empty and impersonal. If your real ride list is the wedding party plus parents, a couple of grandparents, and the maid of honor's spouse — not 50 guests — this is the size that fits the occasion, not just the manifest.

Best uses for a 22–26 seated trolley

Bridal-party-only wedding transport

The classic use. The wedding party (typically 6–12), the couple's parents, and a few essential family ride from the getting-ready location to the first-look, to the ceremony, to the reception. Guests arrive on their own or via a separate larger shuttle. The small trolley keeps the inner circle together for the parts of the day that get photographed, then it's free.

Engagement parties and rehearsal dinners

A 20-person rehearsal dinner where the host wants the group to arrive and leave together rather than scattering into rideshares. The trolley does one loop — hotel to restaurant and back — and the vintage look turns an ordinary dinner shuttle into a moment people photograph.

Milestone birthdays and small anniversaries

A 50th-birthday dinner-and-drinks group of 14–22, or a small anniversary celebration. Big enough for the whole guest list when the whole guest list is small, intimate enough that nobody is shouting across an empty bus to be heard.

Small group winery or holiday-lights tours

A 16–24 person tasting outing or a December lights tour. At this size everyone is within conversation distance — the seating is close enough that the group stays one conversation, not three separate clusters spread down a long aisle.

Logistics at this size

One trip, no shuttle cycling

Because this size carries a single intact group, almost every booking is a simple loop: pick up, run the route, return. There is no 'first wave / second wave' shuttle cycling to schedule, which is what makes a small-trolley wedding timeline simpler than a guest-shuttle timeline — there is nothing to stagger.

Curb and driveway access is the real advantage

A small trolley is the shortest unit in the trolley fleet. That is the practical reason to pick it beyond headcount: it reaches estate driveways, garden-venue lanes, and dense city pickup points where a longer 30- or 34-seat trolley would have to stage on a main road and walk the group in. If your venue has a tight approach, the small trolley may be the only trolley that fits.

Amenities vary unit to unit — confirm in writing

Trolleys in this size band differ widely: some are enclosed and climate-controlled, some are open-air seasonal units, sound and bar features are not standardized. We do not assume any specific amenity. Whatever matters for your day — heat in November, AC in July, a sound input — is confirmed in writing on the quote against the specific unit assigned, never assumed from the category.

Short booked windows are normal here

Inner-circle transport is often a 2–4 hour window (getting-ready location → photos → ceremony → reception), shorter than a full-day guest shuttle. That keeps the rental cost lower than a larger trolley booked all day, which is part of why this size fits the budget for the bridal-party-only model.

How to size it honestly (and when to step up)

The honest comfort number: 26 seated ≈ 20–22 comfortable

Trolley bench seating is firmer and closer than coach seating. A unit rated 26 carries 26 for a short photo loop, but for a 3–4 hour day with bags, dresses, and people getting on and off in formalwear, plan around 20–22 for genuine comfort. If your real ride list is already above ~22, do not squeeze it into a small trolley — move up to the 30-passenger tier.

Cross 28 people → go to the 30-passenger trolley

The hard line for this tier is roughly 28. Above that, the small-trolley inventory cannot seat the group at all, and even at 26–28 the ride is tight in formalwear. At 28+ the right vehicle is the mid-size 30-passenger trolley, which also opens up the wheelchair-accessible units that do not exist in this small band. Do not book two small trolleys to avoid stepping up — one mid-size trolley is simpler and cheaper than two small ones plus two drivers.

Need to move actual guests too? This is the wrong size

This tier is for the inner circle only. If you also need to move 40, 80, or 150 guests between hotel and venue, the small trolley is not your shuttle — pair it with a separate guest shuttle (a motor coach handles ~50 guests per cycle) or skip the small trolley and run guest transport on coaches. Trying to cycle a 24-seat trolley through 100 guests means a dozen slow trips and a broken timeline.

Children and car seats change the math

A flower girl and ring bearer in the bridal-party trolley still count as seats, and child-restraint rules apply the same as any commercial vehicle. If small children ride, tell us at booking so the unit and seating are coordinated — a 26-seat trolley with three car seats effectively seats fewer adults.

Compare trolley sizes

Wrong size for your group? Each trolley tier is built for a different use — here are the other two.

30 passenger trolley

The most-booked trolley size: 28–32 seated. Enough to run a real guest shuttle in efficient cycles, small enough to stay charming. This is also the band where wheelchair-accessible trolleys live.

34 passenger trolley

The top of the trolley size band: 34 seated, and our deepest single-capacity inventory. The most capacity you can get while still riding a vintage trolley. Above this headcount, the honest answer is a motor coach.

Frequently asked questions

24 passenger trolley questions, answered honestly.

It is the right size for a bridal-party-only trolley — the wedding party, parents, and a few key family riding together for photos and the ceremony-to-reception leg. It is not a guest shuttle. If you also need to move all your guests, pair the small trolley with a separate larger shuttle, or use motor coaches for the guest transport and skip the trolley for guests.

Why a Small Trolley

At this size the trolley is the moment, not the shuttle — keep it to the people the day is about

Bridal-Party-Sized, Not Guest-Sized

A 22–26 seat trolley fits the wedding party plus parents and a few key family — the people in the photos — without an empty half-bus or a stranger shuttle feel.

Everyone In Every Photo

At this headcount the whole group fits in one frame stepping off the trolley. Larger units spread the group out; a small trolley keeps the picture tight.

Fits Tight Venue Driveways

Shorter than a mid or large trolley, a small unit reaches estate driveways, narrow garden-venue lanes, and city blocks that a 34-seat trolley physically cannot.

$5,000,000 BIPD Liability Insurance

Trolleys over 15 passengers carry the federal $5,000,000 BIPD minimum per FMCSA 49 CFR 387.33. USDOT-authorized operators, CDL drivers with passenger endorsement.
